Job summary

Academics in Halifax is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil who is currently accessing learning at the Year 1 level. You will provide one-to-one guidance, tailor a personalised learning plan and help her build confidence and independence throughout the school day.

The role requires a warm, patient and nurturing approach, with the ability to work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to implement effective learning strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have a Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification or demonstrable classroom experience.
• Experience providing one-to-one support to a pupil.

Are you a caring, enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a child's education?

Halifax Primary School is seeking a positive, dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a new pupil joining our school.

The successful applicant will work closely with a Year 3 pupil who is currently accessing learning at the beginning of the Year 1 curriculum. You will play a key role in supporting her personalised learning programme, building her confidence and independence, and helping her to make accelerated progress.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide consistent, high-quality one-to-one support tailored to the pupil's individual needs.
• Support her access to a personalised curriculum and classroom learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to implement appropriate learning strategies.
