Outwood Academy Freeston is seeking a One to One Tutor to support students across the English curriculum in small groups or 1-2-1 settings.

The role is 5 hours per week, term-time only, with a temporary contract until May 2027 and hourly pay rates depending on qualifications (QTS £37.03/hr, Relevant Degree £26.68/hr, Unqualified £18.72/hr).

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Well organised and able to prioritise deadlines.
• Ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a team.

The successful applicant will be required to work across the English curriculum to support students with varying needs in small groups (2-4) or in a 1-2-1 setting

The department aims to continue its success at GCSE’s whilst striving to exceed its targets at all key stages. We are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for our students and you will be supported by the Head of Department both at the academy and across the Family of Schools.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and have excellent IT skills.

The successful candidate needs to be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work to ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on one’s own initiative, as well as part of a team is essential.
