Job summary

Outwood Academy Freeston, part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, is seeking a One to One Tutor to deliver targeted intervention programmes across the English curriculum. The role involves working with small groups or one-to-one to raise attainment and support personalised learning in a warm, supportive academy environment.

The successful candidate will plan, implement and deliver a differentiated curriculum, reporting pupil progress and collaborating with the Head of Department.

Qualifications

• Graduate in a related subject or AS/A2 level in a relevant subject or be a qualified teacher.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong time management and organisational skills.
• Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intervention programmes to individuals, and develop suitable intervention material, lesson plans and resources.
• Report on individual pupil progress and liaise with the Head of Department and teachers for feedback.
• Support exam revision sessions and comply with Child Safeguarding Procedures at all times.
