Job summary

Outwood Academy Freeston invites applications for a One to One Tutor. The post supports students across the English curriculum in small groups (2–4) or one-to-one settings, focusing on raising attainment and personal growth.

The role is for a 5-hour weekly, term-time only position with an ASAP start. Salary varies by qualification: QTS £37.03 per hour, Relevant Degree £26.68 per hour, Unqualified £18.72 per hour.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will be required to work across the English curriculum to support students with varying needs in small groups (2-4) or in a 1-2-1 setting

The department aims to continue its success at GCSE’s whilst striving to exceed its targets at all key stages. We are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for our students and you will be supported by the Head of Department both at the academy and across the Family of Schools.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and have excellent IT skills.

The successful candidate needs to be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work to ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on one’s own initiative, as well as part of a team is essential.
