Job summary

EK Outreach Services is seeking an Engineering Teacher to deliver one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including SEND. Lessons may take place in students' homes, libraries, or other agreed locations, with a curriculum anchored in science linked to engineering (Aerospace, Locomotion).

The successful candidate will plan personalised GCSE-level content, assess progress, and work with pastoral teams to support each student’s academic and wellbeing goals.

Qualifications

• QTS or significant experience teaching Engineering.
• ,
• Experience with KS3 Science or equivalent engineering-related awards is desirable.
• Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and related topics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individualised lessons aligned with student level and objectives.
• Teach topics at GCSE or equivalent levels.
• Promote understanding, engagement and motivation in students.
• Adapt lessons to support SEND and other learning challenges.
• Track and assess progress; provide regular feedback to students, parents and staff.
• Maintain records of lessons and progress per educational requirements.
• Collaborate with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support.
