Job summary

EK Outreach Services Limited is seeking an Engineering Teacher to deliver personalised one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including SEND. Lessons may occur at students' homes, libraries or other agreed locations, with a curriculum bridging science and engineering subjects, specifically aerospace and locomotion.

The role requires QTS or substantial experience in teaching Engineering, KS3 Science awareness, and the ability to engage learners through tailored methods.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Engineering.
• Experience with KS3 Science and AQA Unit Award in Engineering.
• Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of the curriculum and related topics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for one-to-one engagement.
• Flexibility to work in students' homes or other learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individualised lessons aligned with student level and objectives.
• Teach GCSE or equivalent topics and promote engagement and motivation.
• Adapt lesson content and methods for SEND needs and learning challenges.
• Track progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents and staff.
• Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress to meet educational requirements.
