Job summary

Fittleworth CE Village School is seeking a caring One-to-One Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil in early years. This temporary role is part-time, 23.25 hours per week, comprising 3 mornings and two whole days during term time only.

The successful candidate will implement targets on the pupil’s ISP/EHCP, work closely with the Sendco and class teacher, and help the pupil access a full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with SEND.
• Ability to work under direction and on own initiative.
• Good knowledge of English to GCSE (Grade C) or equivalent.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning in early years.
• Empathetic and caring.
• Prepared to participate in training to help support the pupil.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and innovative.
• Team player to enhance our school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for the pupil.
• Aid access to a full range of learning experiences inside and outside the classroom.
• Implement targets set on the child's ISP/EHCP by the Sendco and class teacher.
• Support pupil in integrating into class activities.
