Job summary

Sir Robert Hitcham CEVA Primary School in Suffolk is seeking a one-to-one SEND Teaching Assistant to support an early years pupil. The role includes lunch duty and working under teaching staff to implement the pupil's Education Health Care Plan, including intimate care.

The post is part-time (30 hours/week, 38 weeks/year), fixed term, starting asap. Closing date: 9am 2 November 2026; interview week of 9 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND pupils is desirable.
• Ability to promote learning and personal development within an EHC plan.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support for a pupil in early years.
• Support with intimate care as required.
• Follow guidance of teaching staff and EHCP targets.
• Participate in lunchtimes and pastoral activities.
• Promote inclusivity and personal development.
