Job summary

Viking invites applicants to join the RIVER - NAUTIC - TRAINEE PROGRAM A0 - SAILOR. This entry level training takes place onboard Viking Longships and is supervised by the Captain and a dedicated trainer team.

The program trains you from Sailor up to Captain, covering mooring, steering, safety, ship maintenance and passenger service. English is the operating language and Viking covers training costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma.
• English language knowledge required.
• Dutch and/or German language knowledge considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in onboard training led by the Captain.
• Study the assigned course material and attend the 90-day exam.
• Assist with safety, cleanliness and reporting to the Captain.
• Support day-to-day deck operations and coordination with the Sailors team.
