Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Shift Engineer to join the on-site team in Bromborough. The role covers maintenance, fault finding and proactive improvements to maximise production output, within a health, safety and environmental focused setting.

The ideal candidate has a time-served engineering background with a relevant qualification and proven production maintenance experience, complemented by strong IT skills and collaborative, proactive attitudes.

Qualifications

Time-served apprenticeship (or equivalent) and a recognised qualification in engineering.
HNC or Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Experience in a production maintenance environment.
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Proactive health, safety and environmental approach.
Proven track record in production engineering.
Excellent IT skills and ability to use IT systems.

Responsibilities

Fixing machine faults during the shift and responding quickly to line breakdowns.
Carry out preventative maintenance and routine safety inspections.
Fault finding and diagnostics in reactive or planned maintenance.
Maintain planned preventative maintenance schedules and repairs.
Support project development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide written shift reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Engage with operations team to maximise production output.
