Job summary

Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd. is seeking a Service Engineer to service and repair crawler cranes and foundation machinery at customer sites and depots.

You will diagnose faults, ensure warranty parts are returned cleanly, and comply with manufacturer guidelines while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires an apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 or equivalent, plus heavy plant experience and a CSCS card.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a recognised apprenticeship in a related industry to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Work experience within heavy plant or a relevant industry.
• CSCS Card is required for site access.
• Slinger and signaller qualification or competency is essential for safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, inspection, and repair of foundation machinery and equipment at customer premises, on site, or at the depot.
• Diagnosing faults and taking appropriate action.
• Returning warranty and other parts cleaned and on time, with proper packing and labeling.
• Reading, understanding, and filing service information.
• Carrying out work in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and recommendations.
• Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment and ensuring paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Developing good relationships with customers and coordinating with them to understand their needs.
