Job summary

Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain and repair Ship to Shore Cranes, RTGs and RMG across customer sites, ports, and Liebherr depots in the U.K.

The role focuses on electrical systems, fault diagnosis, and service/repair of high-value crane equipment. Ideal candidates hold an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in electrical disciplines, with proven electrical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Proven industry experience in electrical maintenance, service, or engineering role.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair and inspection of STS, RTG, and RMG cranes at customer sites, ports and Liebherr depots.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, PLC, hydraulic and mechanical faults.
• Perform diesel engine servicing and repairs (desirable).
• Work safely at height in port environments and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and maintain service documentation and ensure warranty/return parts are processed correctly.
