Job summary

Burnley College Sixth Form Centre is seeking dedicated Support Practitioners to provide high quality assistance to learners with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities. You will work on-site delivering small group or individual support, helping students engage with their work while addressing their specific needs to support wellbeing.

Applicants should have a general education to level 3 and a Level 2 Learning Support qualification (or be willing to achieve one).

Qualifications

• Good general education to at least level 3 with Maths and English to level 2.
• Level 2 Learning Support qualification or willingness to achieve one.
• Knowledge of barriers to learning for SEN learners and strategies to overcome them.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality support to individuals or small groups.
• Help students understand and record their work, considering their specific needs to support wellbeing.
