Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Community team in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance across the residential building. You will diagnose faults, perform day-to-day repairs and assist with planned works, ensuring statutory compliance of building systems and safety protocols.

Key duties include troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks, painting, and coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
• A recognised trade qualification relevant to repairs and maintenance in a residential building (e.g. plumbing or electrical) is essential.
• Evidence of general education to O’ Level/GCSE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance across the community.
• Communicate effectively with residents, clients, contractors and colleagues.
• Monitor maintenance reporting system and update residents on progress.
• Undertake repairs in plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting/decorating and lighting; supervise contractor work as needed.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain RAMS & Permits to Work.
• Assist with garden and grounds maintenance and oversee external contractors as required.
• Maintain testing records and perform PAT and emergency lighting inspections.
