Job summary

Taff Housing Association in Cardiff is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead our in-house repairs team and drive high-quality, safe, and efficient maintenance across all our homes. You will manage responsive repairs, voids, planned and cyclical maintenance, fleet operations and supplier relationships, using data and insights to improve performance and value for money.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a building related qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of managing and delivering high quality repairs services.
• Experience of planning and scheduling complex workloads of a small team to create maximum productivity.
• Knowledge of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard, including the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and WHQS Addendum.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety and other relevant legislation and regulations.
• Experience of budget planning and managing budgets effectively to deliver value for money services.
• Ability to plan complex workloads in a range of trades effectively.
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations or willing to work towards.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing, customer-focused responsive repairs and voids service.
• Manage internal repairs operations, including responsive repairs, voids, planned and cyclical maintenance programmes and fleet management.
• Use performance data and customer insight to drive productivity, service improvement and value for money.
• Ensure resources are used effectively and operational targets are achieved.
