Job summary

Amey is inviting applications for a permanent Plumber at HMP Ranby. The role involves routine and non-routine maintenance, mains water repairs, fault finding, water sampling and risk assessment, with duties commensurate with the position.

Working 39 hours per week on a rota basis between 08:00 and 17:00, with an early finish on Fridays and 1 in 4 weekends plus a 15% allowance on basic salary. Prison security clearance will be required; Amey supports through the process.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance.
• Experience in operating light plant.
• Legionella awareness and compliance desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Skills

Experience in plumbing maintenance
