Job summary

Amey is seeking a qualified Plumber to join the on-site maintenance team at HMP Risley in Warrington. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, repairing mains water systems, fault finding, inspections, water sampling, and reporting equipment deterioration.

This on-site, long-term position requires a valid UK driving licence and NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating. In return, you receive 15% weekend shift allowance, generous annual leave, pension contributions,

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance (ideally commercial or FM).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic knowledge of water hygiene / Legionella (training can be provided).
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance.
• Repair mains water systems and pipework.
• Fault find and fix issues across the site.
• Complete inspections, water sampling, and basic risk checks.
• Identify and report deteriorating equipment.
