Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Plumber to join the MoJ facilities management team at HMP Ranby. The role covers routine and non-routine maintenance, water supply repairs, fault finding and inspections, with a 39-hour week and 1 in 4 weekends on rota.

You will need NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating, experience in plumbing maintenance, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work in a commercial environment. Legionella awareness is desirable, and prison security clearance will be required.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating is required.
• Experience in plumbing maintenance is essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience in a commercial environment is preferred.
• Legionella awareness and compliance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Perform mains water supply repairs.
• Identify faults, assess life expired equipment, repair and restore services.
• Conduct inspections, water sampling and risk assessments.
• Perform other duties as required.
