Job summary

Amey is looking for a qualified Plumber to join our team at HMP Liverpool, helping maintain and improve a large, secure site that plays a vital role in the justice system. This is a stable, long‑term role within a supportive Facilities Management team, with funded training, career progression into Team Leader and Site Management, and on‑site parking.

You'll carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, repair mains water systems, perform water hygiene inspections and risk assessments, and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
• Experience in plumbing maintenance.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience working in commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance.
• Repairing and maintaining mains water systems.
• Fault finding and repairs on plumbing assets.
• Water hygiene inspections, sampling and risk assessments.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and compliantly.

Shift Pattern:

• Mon-Thu: 07:45am - 4:45pm
• Fri-Sun: 07:45am - 3:45pm
• 1 in 4 weekends (15% salary uplift when on the weekend rota)
