Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Plumber for HMP Onley to join our facilities management team delivering essential services for the MoJ. The role supports routine and non-routine maintenance, water mains repairs and fault finding in a secure environment.

We require NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating, experience in plumbing maintenance, a full UK driving licence and experience in a commercial setting. Legionella awareness is desirable, and a 1 in 3 weekend rota applies with a 15% uplift.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance.
• Experience in operating light plant.
• Legionella awareness and compliance is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding; identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Onley.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. The standard hours of work are39 hours per week.Staff are required to work on a rota basis between8am – 5pm.There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

The base salary is between £30,866 - £36,135 dependant on experience.

What you will do:
