Job summary

Amey invites applications for a permanent Plumber at HMP Sudbury. The role covers 39 hours per week on a 3-week rota (08:00–17:00, early finishes on Fri-Sun) with a 1 in 3 weekend rota and a 15% weekend allowance. Salary £30,866–£36,135, depending on experience.

Job description

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Sudbury.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a 3-week rota basis between 08.00 – 17.00 (early finishes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

The base salary is between £30,866 - £36,135 dependant on experience.

What you will do:

• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role.

What you will bring:

• NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance
• Experience in operating light plant
• Legionella awareness and compliance is desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience in a commercial environment
