Job summary

VIVO Defence is seeking a Fabric Operative to maintain and repair the fabric of RAF Lakenheath and surrounding areas. You will perform planned maintenance, urgent repairs, refurbishments, and minor installations, recording all works in the PDA system.

You will work both independently and within a 10-person on-site engineering team, coordinating with military personnel, managers and supply chain partners, while upholding health and safety standards and contributing to risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, decorating, plastering or bricklaying.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Eligible to obtain SC-level Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fabric of RAF Lakenheath and surrounding areas, perform planned maintenance and urgent repairs, refurbishments and minor installations; document works in the PDA system.
• Work independently and with a 10-strong site engineering team, liaising with military personnel, managers and supply chain partners; follow health and safety procedures.
