Job summary

VIVO Defence Services seeks a skilled Fabric Operative to maintain and repair buildings and external works at RAF Croughton. You will perform carpentry, painting, basic plumbing checks and liaise with other trades to keep facilities safe and functional.

This client-facing role requires clear communication, strong health and safety adherence, and flexibility to support minor civil works as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven background in fabric maintenance or building repairs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Full UK driving licence required; PASMA/IPAF certifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fabric maintenance and repairs (carpentry, doors, floors, ceilings).
• Perform minor plumbing checks and repairs (sinks, taps) and painting touch-ups.
• General making good, fence repairs and support minor civil works as required.
• Liaise with other trades to ensure efficient completion and communicate company objectives.
