Job summary

Design for Manufacture Resourcing (DFM-R) Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major UK nuclear programme at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. This contract role requires on-site presence 3-4 days per week.

You will lead safe delivery of mechanical packages, coordinate piping, valves and supports, manage multiple contractors, and ensure progress from readiness through handover, engaging with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Planning.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex mechanical construction or installation packages.
• Knowledge of piping, valves, mechanical supports or related mechanical systems.
• Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Understanding of construction sequencing and site delivery.
• Ability to identify risks and drive completion.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience in nuclear or regulated environment advantageous.
• Available to work at Hinkley Point C 3–4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe delivery of mechanical construction activities across the assigned area.
• Coordinate installation of piping, valves, mechanical supports and related works.
• Manage multiple contractors, work packages and delivery teams.
• Coordinate site priorities, resources and installation sequencing.
• Monitor readiness against programme and identify constraints.
• Identify risks, resolve constraints and drive actions to completion.
• Maintain clear communication between client, site teams and supply chain.
• Oversee progress through installation, testing and system completion.
