Job summary

Galliford Try seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead ME and Civil installation activities on the United Utilities Framework in Warrington. You will oversee safe, on-time delivery, drive compliance, and coordinate with Project Managers, Clients and subcontractors.

You will manage RAMS, QA/QC, toolbox talks and site inductions while promoting a strong safety culture and efficient progress tracking using digital tools.

Qualifications

• ONC/City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• SMSTS, IOSH or CITB Site Safety Management qualification.
• CSCS card and First Aid certification.
• Experience managing construction or installation activities within a regulated environment, ideally the water sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities across M&E and Civil installation projects.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and in line with contract specifications and programme requirements.
• Lead site operations in compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Planners, Clients and Subcontractors to monitor project progress.
• Utilise digital site management platforms to track and report on programme performance.
• Ensure adherence to contractual milestones and project delivery schedules.
• Prepare and maintain key site documentation, including RAMS.
• Oversee installation programmes, testing, inspection and commissioning records.
• Conduct site inductions for all personnel and visitors attending site.
• Deliver regular toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture.
• Manage site resources, subcontractors and supply chain partners to achieve project objectives.
• Identify and mitigate site risks, escalating issues where required.
• Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and environmental compliance.
• Build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Champion Health, Safety and Environment culture on site.
