Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Works Manager to lead civil engineering delivery across the Southern Water framework in Kent. You will supervise project teams, coordinate planning and execution, and ensure sites meet health, safety and quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with project delivery partners.

The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership track record, experience in civil works, and the ability to manage multiple fronts with a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Works Manager or senior construction leadership role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proven ability to lead multiple projects and manage resources.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Construction Manager on project performance and risks.
• Coordinate civil engineering activities across the framework.
• Support delivery teams and ensure site resources and supervision.
• Lead site health, safety and environmental performance and audits.
• Drive quality through ITPs, quality checks and processes.
• Promote a Get It Right First Time culture and continuous improvement.
