Job summary

RTL Group is seeking a Site Manager for a Yorkshire Water project with an immediate start. The successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background and proven water industry experience, with responsibility for day-to-day site operations, subcontractor supervision, RAMS, permits and on-site safety.

You will coordinate labour, plant and materials to meet programme and specifications, maintain quality and site records, and report progress to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Water industry experience essential.
• Strong civil engineering background with site management skills.
• CSCS (Black/Gold) and SMSTS qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations.
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams.
• Producing and reviewing RAMS and permits, and maintaining site documentation.
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials to meet programme and specifications.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance and site records are up to date.
• Liaising with client and stakeholders and reporting progress to the Project Manager.

The successful candidate must have previous water industry experience and a strong civil engineering background. Site Manager Responsibilities:

• Toolbox talks
• Client and stakeholder liaison
• Health and safety compliance
• Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Monitoring quality and maintaining site records
• Reporting progress to the Project Manager
• Black or Gold CSCS
• SMSTS
• Previous Yorkshire Water or water industry experience is essential
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience managing water infrastructure projects
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Good understanding of RAMS, health and safety and quality requirements
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
