Job summary

Dematic is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support the resident contract at DHL East Midlands. The role involves servicing AMHE equipment, diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, and PC systems, and carrying out scheduled repairs.

You will prioritise faults, adhere to safety standards, and maintain accurate records while contributing to continuous improvement and sales opportunities.

Qualifications

• ONC in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
• Experience with mechanical, electrical & electronic manuals/drawings
• Understanding of PLC equipment and control systems
• Working at height
• Experience with conveyor systems
• PC literacy and basic maintenance scheduling knowledge
• FEM and BS standards knowledge for automated warehouses

Responsibilities

• Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with quality standards and time schedules
• Undertake scheduled repairs in line with manufacturers recommendations
• Diagnose Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and perform repairs
• Prioritise system faults
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times
• Maintain quality of output and record all work accurately
• Involve in continuous improvement and sales opportunities
• Maintain product flow and ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels
• Represent the company professionally and maintain customer relations
• Adhere to the quality processes and procedures of the company
