Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to head the on-site Maintenance Engineering function, driving compliance, reliability, safety, team performance, and continuous improvement across site operations.

Manage maintenance strategy, budgets, projects, suppliers, assets, and regulatory requirements while partnering closely with Production, Quality, Validation, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance engineering teams in GMP-regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programmes and regulatory expectations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, CAPEX/OPEX, and supplier relationships.
• Experience supporting audits, investigations and CAPAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to the Maintenance Engineering team.
• Set and monitor KPIs and performance standards.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP, FDA, MHRA, EMA and quality standards.
• Oversee calibration, requalification, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Lead audits, investigations, and CAPAs relevant to maintenance operations.
• Manage budgets, service contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Promote training, competency and succession planning.
