Job summary

BioTalent in Greater London is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance and reliability of production equipment in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical facility.

You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot complex faults, and help drive continuous improvement, calibrations, validations, and CAPA activities while collaborating with Production, Engineering, QA, and Validation teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulated environments.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills for electrical/mechanical faults.
• Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance documentation practices.
• Understanding of calibration, validation, and qualification requirements.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance on pharma equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures.
• Maintain equipment reliability, availability, and performance.
• Ensure GMP, health and safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain maintenance documentation, work orders, calibration records in CMMS.
• Assist with qualification, validation, and commissioning for new installs.
• Support CAPA, deviations, and investigations.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, QA, and Validation teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement for OEE and efficiency.
• Oversee contractor management and site safety adherence.
