Job summary

RedTech is seeking an IT Support Engineer in Central London to provide frontline IT support across end-user devices and internal systems. You will own issues from diagnosis to resolution, set up laptops, manage user access, and assist with onboarding and security tasks.

The role offers exposure to systems administration, infrastructure, and security projects in a fast-paced AI software environment. On-site work five days a week.

Qualifications

• 1 year of commercial IT support experience in Desktop/Service Desk.
• In-person IT support on the floor, not just remote tickets.
• Degree with 2.1 or 1st in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Strong macOS experience in a commercial environment.
• Experience supporting Windows devices.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 / Office 365.
• Experience with device management / MDM tools, ideally Jamf.
• Experience with identity/access management (Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Good networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, OS, connectivity.
• Experience owning tickets from diagnosis to resolution.
• Excellent communication across all levels; security basics.
• Linux and/or scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees, owning issues from diagnosis to resolution.
• Set up, configure and maintain laptops and end-user devices.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access across systems.
• Handle IT onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, OS, app and connectivity issues.
• Support meeting rooms, video conferencing, AV equipment, and office tech.
• Manage IT hardware/inventory including laptops and peripherals.
• Assist with endpoint management, software deployment, patching and security.
• Maintain internal IT documentation and processes.
• Support wider systems administration and infrastructure activities.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT tasks.
• Collaborate with wider technical team on IT/infrastructure/security projects.
