Job summary

Loughborough University IT Services is seeking a Technical Deployment Assistant to support the deployment and lifecycle management of desktop and laptop hardware across the University.

You will image, configure and deploy IT equipment, maintain asset records and support users throughout the provisioning process, liaising with staff and students to understand software needs. A focus on teamwork and detailed record-keeping will be essential.

Qualifications

• Strong IT knowledge and a customer-focused approach.
• Broad understanding of IT and good knowledge of PC hardware.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to follow procedures accurately and maintain records.
• A willingness to learn new skills and undertake relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Support the deployment and lifecycle management of desktop and laptop hardware across the University.
• Image, configure and deploy IT equipment, maintain accurate asset records and support users throughout the equipment provisioning process.
• Liaise with staff and students to understand software requirements, arrange equipment handovers and support in-person enquiries.
• Assist with asset recovery, stock management, project work and documentation.
