Job summary

TwoScore - HSEQ Recruitment is seeking a Project Safety Advisor for a major construction project in the Newcastle area. The role is site-focused, working with project teams to maintain high safety standards on site.

You will provide practical HSE support, conduct inspections, review RAMS, and engage with subcontractors to implement effective controls and drive safety improvements across the programme.

Qualifications

• Health and safety experience in construction.
• Good working knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation.
• Practical approach to health and safety, not purely compliance-focused.
• Experience engaging with site teams and subcontractors.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day health and safety advice and support to the project team.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Support RAMS and safe systems of work development and review.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with incident, near miss and hazard investigations.
• Support site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Engage with workforce to promote positive safety behaviours.
• Promote continuous improvement of health and safety performance.
