Job summary

TwoScore - HSEQ Recruitment are working with a leading international construction and engineering contractor to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Manager to support a growing portfolio of major UK building projects.

You will provide strategic and operational safety leadership, coach project teams and ensure robust RAMS processes, incident investigations and continuous improvement across multiple sites, with a hybrid working pattern across UK travel.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or Degree in Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Experience with principal contractor in construction.
• Knowledge of UK construction legislation and CDM requirements.
• IOSH membership (CMIOSH preferred).
• Experience with incident investigations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Health and Safety strategy across multiple projects.
• Provide expert advice to operational teams and senior management.
• Drive proactive behavioural safety culture through leadership engagement.
• Review RAMS and Safe Systems of Work.
• Plan and deliver inspections, audits and assurance programmes.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse H&S performance data and identify trends.
• Develop toolbox talks, safety campaigns and workforce communications.
• Support occupational health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Mentor Health & Safety Advisors within the team.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and clients.
