DPD is recruiting for a Gatehouse Operative on a fixed term contract at Smethwick. The role involves managing day-to-day vehicle movements on site and ensuring secure access, with a 47.5-hour week and a salary of £26,602.03. Working hours are 08:00-18:00, Monday to Friday, on site at Roebuck Lane.

The post requires reliable, proactive team players who can communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and uphold DPD’s values.

Responsibilities

• Managing day to day vehicle movements on and off the site.
• Process arrivals and departures and ensure freight loads are accounted for.
• Restricting and controlling site access with barriers and presence.
• Communicate with various departments about vehicle movements.
• Coordinate with contractors, employees and visitors.
• Liaise with emergency services and third-party organisations.
