Job summary

DPD is looking for a Team Leader to oversee security officers and Gatehouse operatives across on-site locations in the UK. You will allocate tasks, monitor performance, organise training and act as the first contact for incidents 24/7.

You will lead a fast-paced security team, maintain high standards, and work closely with the Hub Security Manager to deliver business security objectives and exemplary conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to Security Officers to maximise productivity and prevent incidents.
• Ensure tasks are carried out safely and per Security policies.
• Complete and file security documentation accurately during shifts.
• Provide incident response and management across East or West Midlands.
• Conduct return-to-work meetings and relay information to the Security Hub Manager.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including investigations and escalations.
• Conduct training to upskill Officers or Operatives.
• Support targets and success as delegated by the Hub Security Manager.
• Act professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Drive day-to-day performance of on-site security teams.
• Collaborate with security management to implement business security strategy.
• Exhibit exemplary behaviour and mentor colleagues.
• Support others through training and coaching.

Job description

The Team Leader will oversee, guide, and support a team of Security officers and Gatehouse operatives, ensuring the effective implementation of security protocols and procedures. This role involves allocating tasks, monitoring performance, conducting training, and serving as a primary point of contact for incidents and escalations 24/7.,

Responsibilities

• Assignment of work to Security Officers to ensure peak productivity to support the prevention and identification of security-related incidents
• Ensure all security officers are carrying out tasks safely and in accordance with Security policies
• Ensure all security documentation, reports and paperwork is completed and returned accurately and in a timely fashion during respective shifts
• Provide incident response and management across the East or West Midlands during shifts
• Conduct initial return-to-work meetings throughout shift and relay this information to the Security Hub Manager
• Manage the day to day operation including investigations, incidents, escalations, employee concerns, staffing, employee security related questions
• Act in a professional manner at all times, and understand responsibilities will require confidentiality
• Conduct training with Officers or Operatives who require upskilling in their role
• Carry out tasks delegated by Hub Security Manager to assist with targets and success
