Job summary

Aprolis UK is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform routine maintenance and fault repairs on customer-owned forklift equipment. You will visit customer sites, diagnose issues, provide time estimates, and complete service reports to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Role requires proactive planning, proper documentation, and maintaining van stock and tooling. The position is based in Cranleigh, with field travel and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Routine maintenance and repairs to long/short term machines and customers owned equipment.
• Liaise with customer and provide time estimates after diagnosing fault.
• Keep van stock and tooling to an agreed standard and plan workload with Service Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer premises, diagnose faults, inform Service Coordinator and customer of ETA.
• Rectify faults and ensure machine operates safely to customer satisfaction.
• Carry out routine maintenance and ensure service parts are available before attending site.
• Obtain valid purchase orders and provide verbal estimates with Service Manager as needed.
• Submit detailed job reports and time sheets, maintain proper documentation on completion.
• Proactively participate in planning workload and maintain professional image with customers.
• Drive company vehicle courteously and ensure tooling and spares stockholding is maintained.
