Job summary

SER (Staffing) Ltd is recruiting a Service Engineer to service and maintain forklift trucks and warehouse equipment across customer sites in the North West. This field-based role involves planned servicing with training and support to develop fault-finding, repairs, maintenance and eventual breakdown capabilities.

Qualifications

• Essential: hands-on engineering experience and a mechanical aptitude.
• Engineering qualification or apprenticeship relevant to mechanical handling.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and carrying out routine maintenance on forklift trucks and warehouse equipment.
• Work on electric, LPG and diesel counterbalance, pallet and reach trucks.
• Complete planned maintenance and inspections to a high standard.
• Carry out basic checks and identify issues requiring attention.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites.
• Manage workload independently while maintaining safety and workmanship.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and the service team to develop knowledge.
