Job summary

GTS Group Ltd, based in Cheshire, is seeking a Site-Based Engineer to keep electro-mechanical equipment running and to be the face of the company on client sites. The role involves on-site presence, handling both reactive and preventive maintenance, and ensuring paperwork and stock are kept up to date.

You will diagnose faults, perform first-time fixes, and build trusted relationships with customers while delivering reliable service for a global technology provider to banks and major retailers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical background with a formal qualification or hands-on experience.
• Disciplined, process-first approach to work.
• Comfortable working face-to-face with customers daily.
• Proficient with standard PC systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose faults and fix on first visit rather than patching.
• Manage on-site stock and related paperwork.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers on site.
