Job summary
The Clancy Group is seeking an Environmental Advisor to lead practical on-site environmental delivery across civil engineering projects. You will assess on-site activities, produce workable environmental management plans and work closely with engineers to ensure regulatory compliance and risk control.
Applicants should have field-based experience in environmental roles within construction or utilities, a strong grasp of environmental legislation, and a passion for protecting the environment
Qualifications
- Experience in environmental roles within civil engineering, construction or utilities sectors.
- Understanding of environmental legislation and how it applies to operational projects.
- Ability to manage environmental risks, prepare plans and reports, and translate data into actions.
Responsibilities
- Out on site, conduct environmental assessments and produce practical management plans.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure compliance with legal/regulatory requirements.
- Perform inspections and audits per ISO 14001 and environmental permits; drive corrective actions.
- Support incident management and ensure lessons are captured and shared.
- Monitor environmental performance and translate data into actionable improvements.
- Engage with colleagues, clients and regulators to provide clear, pragmatic environmental advice.
