Job summary

Clancy is seeking a field-based Environmental Advisor to deliver environmental excellence across civil engineering projects. This is a hands-on, on-site role, not a desk job, involving risk spotting, planning, and ensuring regulatory compliance with ISO 14001 standards.

You'll work with design and construction teams, producing practical environmental plans, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental roles on civil engineering or construction projects.
• Ability to manage environmental plans and reports and use data for improvements.
• Desirable degree in environmental discipline and membership in IEMA/CIWEM/IES/CIWM.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake environmental assessments on site and develop EMS.
• Work with operational teams to meet legal requirements.
• Perform inspections and audits per ISO 14001 and environmental legislation.
• Support incident management and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor performance and translate data into actions.
• Provide clear, pragmatic environmental advice to colleagues and regulators.
• Champion best practice and environmentally responsible on-site methods.
