Amey is seeking an On-Site Electrician at HMP Berwyn in Wrexham to maintain and repair electrical systems across the prison site, ensuring safety and compliance with current regulations.
You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, tests, and fault finding, while supporting zero-carbon initiatives. The role runs 39 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 7:30am–4:30pm) with occasional weekend shifts and a 15% weekend allowance.

The Electrician plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
Previous experience with planned preventative maintenance is preferred but not essential. While a Level 3 qualification is preferred, we are open to interviewing candidates with a Level 2 qualification
Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
