Job summary

Scantec is seeking an EC&I Engineer to provide plant-facing electrical, control and instrumentation support at a Lancaster-area nuclear site. The role is on-site, full-time, with long-term contract terms and immediate start.

You will diagnose complex EC&I issues, review designs, and work closely with operations and maintenance teams to optimise reliability and safety-critical performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years EC&I or control systems engineering experience.
• MUST HAVE: Nuclear industry background with plant operations/maintenance exposure.
• Desirable: EDF SQEP status or equivalent competency in nuclear EC&I.

Responsibilities

• Provide plant-facing EC&I support for electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
• Diagnose faults and contribute to rapid resolution of issues.
• Review and approve EC&I designs, modifications and upgrades.
• Support maintenance strategies and system health assessments.
• Work with operations and maintenance teams to optimise reliability.
