Job summary

NRL is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to lead electrical, control and instrumentation activities on a major nuclear project in Cumbria. The role involves technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring safe, high-quality deliverables within a regulated environment.

Based in Cumbria/Sellafield, the role offers a challenging environment with a focus on delivering CE&I solutions that meet stringent regulatory standards and project objectives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering CE&I engineering in the nuclear sector.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and CE&I safety standards (BS 7671, BS EN 61508).
• Experience with project delivery for Sellafield Ltd is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed EC&I design and execution support activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Deliver scope on cost, quality and schedule targets.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in reviews.
• Act as experienced checker for outputs where SQEP applies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
