Job summary

Scantec seeks an EC&I Engineer to support nuclear plant systems in Lancaster. You will work on-site five days a week, diagnosing issues, reviewing designs, and contributing to maintenance and reliability improvements across safety-related and non-safety critical equipment.

You should have 5+ years in EC&I or controls, nuclear industry background, and ideally EDF SQEP status. This is hands-on plant-facing work at Heysham with a focus on safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years EC&I or control systems engineering experience.
  • Nuclear industry background required: operations, maintenance or engineering support.
  • EDF SQEP status or equivalent demonstrated competency in nuclear EC&I systems.
  • Expert knowledge of electrical, control, instrumentation, safety-related systems, and nuclear design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide plant-facing EC&I support for electrical, control, and instrumentation systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex plant faults and abnormal events.
  • Specify, review, and approve EC&I designs, modifications and upgrades.
  • Support maintenance strategies and condition monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams on safety-critical systems.
