Job summary

Sopra Steria Limited is seeking a DevOps & Automation Engineer to join its Aerospace, Defence and Security team. This on-site role is based in London, Manchester or Gloucestershire, supporting highly secure client environments.

You will design and implement automation solutions, develop scripts, and build robust CI/CD pipelines while mentoring fellow engineers and maintaining secure, available systems.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and delivering DevOps and automation solutions.
• Hands-on IaC experience with Ansible and Terraform.
• Proficient scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DevOps and automation solutions for infrastructure challenges.
• Develop scripts and configurations to support Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Own automation initiatives from design to delivery and handover.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.
• Troubleshoot issues across infrastructure and pipelines.
