Job summary

Sopra Steria Limited is seeking a Lead DevOps & Automation Engineer in the United Kingdom to own DevOps and automation capabilities. You will lead a team, shape ways of working, and drive innovation across secure, enterprise-scale environments while mentoring others.

You will use tools like Ansible, Terraform, GitLab and Kubernetes to deliver end-to-end automation and CI/CD pipelines, in a flexible working setup that supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Strong DevOps and automation background with hands-on experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, drive best practices, and deliver automation initiatives end-to-end.
• Experience across on-prem, hybrid and multi-cloud environments with emphasis on security and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of DevOps engineers; shape ways of working and foster growth.
• Design and implement automation and IaC solutions across the account.
• Develop services and configurations supporting an infrastructure as code strategy.
• Provide technical support and mentoring during project phases; resolve faults.
• Support pre-sales by understanding client problems and defining technical requirements.
