Job summary

Sustainable Infrastructure seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for a major data centre project in Blyth, UK. On-site role coordinating electrical works with subcontractors and the project team to meet programme and safety standards.

You will interpret drawings, support QA/QC, manage documentation and assist with inspections, testing and snagging on site within a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in electrical construction.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting and related services.
• Strong ability to read drawings, specifications and site practices.
• Experience in data centres, industrial or mission-critical projects desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver electrical works across the project lifecycle.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and submittals.
• Support site QA/QC processes to meet standards.
• Coordinate daily electrical activities with subcontractors and team.
• Monitor progress and report status to senior engineers.
• Maintain electrical documentation, submittals and safety records.
• Attend site meetings and engineering reviews.
• Liaise with design team for RFIs and technical queries.
• Assist with installation inspections, testing and verification.
• Support commercial management by monitoring variations and progress claims.
• Identify and help resolve technical, design and coordination issues.
• Assist with snagging and defects close-out.
• Ensure works meet project specs, programme and safety requirements.
