• Maintain accurate document control, technical records and project logs.
• Prepare and review system handover packs, test packs and commissioning documentation.
• Attend project, technical and coordination meetings as required.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning and final handover activities.
• Review site health and safety practices and ensure subcontractors operate safely.
• Identify opportunities to improve working practices, safety and project delivery.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained across electrical work areas.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join the project team on a major data centre development in Blyth, UK.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will work closely with electrical subcontractors and the wider project team, providing technical leadership and supporting the design, coordination and installation of electrical systems in line with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.

This is a site-based role, reporting to the MEP Lead and working across a large-scale, technically complex data centre project.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical construction, installation and site delivery.
• Experience managing and coordinating electrical subcontractors.
• Good understanding of electrical drawings, technical documentation and testing requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary construction environment.
