Sustainable Infrastructure in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a major data centre project in Blyth. This on-site role supports the delivery and coordination of mechanical works, ensuring safety, programme adherence and quality.

You will work closely with subcontractors, supervisors, engineers and the wider project team on site. You will review drawings, coordinate QA/QC, manage technical submittals and RFIs, and assist with testing, snagging and close-out

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience within the mechanical construction sector.
• Experience with HVAC, pipework and building services.
• Solid understanding of construction drawings, specifications and site practices.
• Experience with data centres, industrial or mission-critical projects advantageous.

• Coordinate and deliver mechanical works across the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings, specs and technical submittals on site.
• Support QA/QC processes to meet project standards.
• Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and project team.
• Monitor progress and report programme status to senior engineers.
• Maintain mechanical documentation, submittals and safety records.
• Attend site meetings and engineering reviews.
• Raise/resolve RFIs and technical queries with design team.
• Assist with installation inspections, testing and verification of systems.
• Support variations and progress claims from a commercial perspective.
• Identify and help resolve technical, design and coordination issues.
• Assist with snagging and close-out of mechanical defects.
